Field Day at MCS

Mobile Christian's Field Day was a wonderful day for our elementary students. The PK3 students ran the first race of the day (see photo) when they lined up for the 50-yard dash. While the 3 yr. old students ran, the other classes enjoyed sack races, a softball throw, 100-yard dash, face-painting and "jumpy things." Of course, every child enjoyed the popsicle he/she received when the races were complete. We had a fantastic day!

PK3 learns fire safety

The Mobile Fire Department visited Mobile Christian and presented a program on Fire Safety. The children watched a brief puppet show about the importance of having working Smoke Detectors in their homes. Following the puppet show, the children were taught how to escape the house if it caught on fire.

Veteran's Day Assembly

This Thursday, November 11, 2010, we are having a special Veteran's Day assembly. The program will begin at 8:10 a.m. in Harrison Athletic Complex located on the campus of Mobile Christian. Veterans and active military are invited to attend. (Photo was taken last Veteran's Day when the Coast Guard landed a chopper on the football field. Elementary Principal, Lorie Minor, and 4th grade teacher, Marsha Oakes, were photographed as they exited the helicopter)

Cow on Campus

The students enjoyed the latest visitor on campus. She was unlike any other visitor that had come onto campus this year. Her name was Betsy and she weighed over 800 pounds. She was a Jersey Cow from Calera, Alabama. Betsy came to MCS as part of the Mobile Dairy Classroom.

What I Enjoy Most about being a Principal

Parents and students often ask what I enjoy most about being an Elementary Principal at a Christian School. That's an easy question. I enjoy building relationships with my students so they know that I love them unconditionally. I have the privilege of working with some of the brightest students in Mobile County and I want every single one of them to know they can trust me to be there for them in good and bad times. I want them to know that God loves them and that He has a plan for each of their lives. I hope to assist in educating them about life on this earth as well as eternal life. I want to encourage my students to dream dreams and never let anyone tell them they can't accomplish something if they are willing to work hard and sacrifice to achieve it.
